25 km is definitely more than 12 km. This afternoon, hubo mucho sol ☀️, it was hot when the breeze wasn’t blowing, my feet hurt at around 20 km, but my spirits didn’t dip (a large plato combinado for lunch didn’t hurt the mood, either). We continue to practice Spanish, mostly thanking locals who wish us a hearty “Buen Camino!” or give us the distance to the next town with a smile and wave in the right direction.

The scenery continues to be AMAZING and I’m still in disbelief that I’m on this adventure.

Last night’s accommodations were sufficient, but not glorious. Tonight, however, we’re sleeping in the Monastery de San Salvador de Cornellana – founded in 1024(!!!) – complete with laundry, wifi, 1 bathroom per 3 persons, lockers, and cloth sheets (rather than paper; really makes no difference since I’m in a sleeping bag, but still).

After 2 days on the trail, I’m even more excited to be a peregrina in El Camino!!
