Sometimes, words cannot express the magnitude of gratitude.
So here’s a story.

There once was a young professional preparing to embark on a new adventure, who determined that a 3-hour daily commute from her sister’s home was a bit excessive. After an APB posted on social media, she was put in contact with friends of aunts and uncles. After a brief phone call to work out details (and a bit of character screening via Facebook šŸ˜‰ ), the young professional was offered a space in their home; site – and face – unseen.

She moved in on a Sunday afternoon, and was treated to the first of many delicious entrees, seated in the chair usually reserved for the family’s off-to-college daughter. This began the weekly routine of dinner together around the table, garnished with hours of sharing and laughter. The young professional’s aspirations of poring over journals and studying after workdays were gladly cast aside in favor of these evening meetings.

This family took the young professional into their home, their habits, and, it seems, into their hearts. And so the young professional left a piece of her heart in Port Charlotte.

Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people…
Galatians 6:10

Thank you.
