Getting my music fix this morning via YouTube and found this gem…

GUYS. I saw Jesus in this conductor (skip to 2:45 if you don’t have 6 minutes to spare).

I’ve silently derided fellow concert-goers who fail to silence their mobile devices. Glanced askew at them, my gaze afire for their lack of consideration.
And who better to scold the erring electronic keeper than the orchestra conductor?

But…

The conductor turns to the orchestra. He embraces the tempo and theme of that uncouth and uncultured interruption, and transforms the cacophony into a symphony.

Isn’t that exactly what Jesus does with our interruptions? With those unpredicted (and unwelcome) deviations from the notes in front of us, the score we’ve prepared to play?

Don’t sweat the interruptions. Look to the Conductor to make the bent and broken beautiful.
(And seriously, give a listen and embrace the chills!)
